Winter 2026: Gospel Foundations

This winter at Rise, students will be part of a teaching series called Gospel Foundations. Whether a student has grown up in church or is just checking things out, this series is about understanding the basics of what Christians believe and why it matters.

Each week, we start with real-life stuff students actually experience...feeling distant from God, struggling with sin, wondering how they can be accepted by God, or feeling disconnected from others. From there, we open the Bible and talk about the good news of who God is and what He has done through Jesus.

Throughout the series, students will talk through big ideas like grace, forgiveness, being made right with God, and staying connected to Jesus; but in a way that’s meant to be understandable, honest, and relevant to everyday life.

Whether a student is new to church or has been around faith for a long time, Gospel Foundations is meant to give them a clearer picture of the gospel and a solid place to start (or strengthen!) their faith. If you’re new to Rise or thinking about checking it out, this series is a great time to jump in. You don’t need to know everything—just come as you are.

"In Him, the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord." Ephesians 2:21

What does it mean to be a part of Rise YTH?

We believe we are the temple of God, with Christ as our cornerstone, and we each serve as part of the holy temple that includes all believers. At Rise, the Bible is taught and studied, and we are growing meaningful relationships that extend outside Wednesday evening gatherings.

The mission of Rise is to show students Christ's love and grace by meeting the students where they are, building a biblical understanding of the gospel, guiding them on how to apply that understanding in their own lives, and how to share it with others. We endeavor to create lifelong laborers who are passionately seeking to glorify God and making Him known to the world around them.
