why baptize?

Water baptism is an outward sign of the inward reality of our union with Christ through faith. Christians understand that water does not wash away our sins. Jesus takes away our sin by grace through faith in His finished work on the cross. Baptism is a physical picture of what has happened in the hearts of all who put their faith in Christ. All who believe in Him are called to partake in the glorious gift of baptism.
